What you can automate
There are three automations. Each one is a single form and a start button. The steps inside them are fixed, so there is nothing to arrange and nothing to wire up wrong.
Send a DM when someone comments your keyword
You post the reel that ends with “comment GUIDE and I’ll send it over”, and then forty people comment GUIDE while you are asleep.
This is the comment-to-DM automation. Pick the post, pick the word, and write the message once. Anyone who comments that word gets a private message from you a minute or two later, with your link in it. You can add a quick public reply first, so the thread shows you answered.

Someone asks “how much?” under a post from three weeks ago, and it sits there unanswered until Thursday.
Keyword replies run on every post on that account, not just one. Choose the words people actually use, write the answer in your voice, and it goes out publicly under their comment. Matching is case insensitive and looks for any of your words anywhere in the comment, so PRICE, price, and “what’s the pricing?” all count.

Write the follow up comment when you write the post. Once the post has actually gone out, Get Posting waits the time you chose, in minutes or in days, and adds it as a comment on your own post. Nothing gets posted early, because it only starts counting once the post is genuinely live.

How to set one up
It is one screen with four questions on it. A live summary at the bottom spells out exactly what will happen before you press start.
Built-in limits that prevent spam
Most people avoid automation because of the version they have seen: the account that DMs everybody, the reply that fires on a comment it misread, the one still running a month after the offer ended. These limits are built in so that cannot happen here.
It only replies to people who commented first. Every automation starts from a comment on your own post, so the only people it writes to are people who contacted you. There is no way to point it at a follower list.
Every message waits a few minutes. A private message sits for a randomized one to three minutes, and work on one account is spaced out rather than sent all at once. That reads like a person got to it, and it keeps you inside what the platforms allow.

What automations can't do yet
One of these is a platform rule we cannot move. The rest are open questions, and which one gets built next is decided by how many people say they need it. If one of these is the automation you came here for, it is worth telling us.
- Messages are plain text for now
- Links work, which covers most of why people run this: the guide, the discount code, the booking page, and the waitlist all go out as a link people tap straight through, and you can see who came from where. Sending the file itself, an image or a PDF attached to the message, is a maybe rather than a no. Tell us what you would attach and we will know whether to build it.
- Automations only see comments from now on
- Turning comment collection on is forward looking. Comments that arrived before you set the automation up are not matched, and there is no way to run one over your back catalogue.
- One private reply per comment
- On Instagram and Facebook that is the platform's rule, not ours, and it has to happen within seven days of the comment. On X, a message can still bounce if that person does not accept DMs from you.
- Threads is not supported yet
- You can read and answer Threads comments by hand in the inbox, but Threads cannot run an automation, because there is no reliable way yet to be told the moment a comment arrives. Guessing by polling would make it late and unreliable, so we have left it out.

What is social media automation in Get Posting?
Three specific outcomes rather than a workflow builder. Get Posting can send a private message to someone who comments a word you chose, reply publicly to comments containing that word, and add a comment to your own post once it has published. You choose the outcome and fill in a short form. Get Posting owns the trigger, the ordering, the pacing, and the safety checks.
Which platforms do automations work on?
Comment to DM works on Facebook, Instagram, and X. Keyword replies work on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The follow up comment on your own post is X only for now. Threads comments can be read and replied to by hand in the inbox, but Threads cannot run automations yet.
Will it message people who never contacted me?
No. Every automation starts from a comment on your own post, so the only people it ever writes to are people who commented first. There is no way to point it at a follower list or at anyone who has not spoken to you.
How fast does the message go out?

Can I check each one before it sends?
Yes, and new automations start that way. In review mode every match waits in the queue until an owner or admin approves or dismisses it. Switch to automatic whenever you are ready, and switch back at any time.
Does it work on comments from before I set it up?
No. Comment collection only starts watching from the moment you turn it on, so an automation acts on comments that arrive after it exists. Older comments stay where they are.
